Intercultural education

Children from more than 30 countries around the world can find their second home at MULTI LINGUA. Our facilities offer an environment that enables all children (each family and each member of staff) to explore the world around them and develop their own abilities to reach their full potential.

Our philosophy is founded on the collective education of children from different social and cultural backgrounds.

We perceive each child as an individual with his or her own unique personal traits and characteristics. We respect differences but do not lose sight of what we all have in common.

For us, intercultural education means:

Passing on knowledge about other cultures

Showing children tolerance, respect, empathy and an interest towards other customs and rituals

Developing sensitivity, appreciation and understanding towards other cultures and languages.

Our pedagogical staff involve the cultural heritage, traditions and experiences of the children and their parents in their everyday pedagogical work and encourage parents to contribute with their family culture.

For example, parents can introduce the specialties of their cultures and countries at celebrations, or  they are invited to the day-care centre to participate in activities, read stories from their homeland, bring music, food, or any other things that are important to them.
