Our first International Kindergarten MULTI LINGUA was founded in August 2012 at our Nordhauser Str. location, initially with 75 places. In the last 10 years, the main location in Charlottenburg has grown to offer 125 places and additional day-care centres have been added.
All MULTI LINGUA International Kindergartens operate under a uniform pedagogical framework, with a special focus on promoting early childhood multilingualism and intercultural education.
The sponsors of the MULTI LINGUA Kindergartens, “Kultur Mosaik Berlin” gUG (haftungsbeschränkt) and “Early Years” gUG (haftungsbeschränkt), are privately initiated non-profit organisations. Together they form a group of organisations and are state-approved sponsors of the MULTI LINGUA International Kindergartens.
The sponsors have an operating licence and finance themselves through day-care vouchers (cost reimbursement by the state of Berlin). Both companies are recognized providers of independent youth welfare services and are regularly evaluated in an external audit by an institute for quality development and assurance in day-care centres.
In order to support this unique concept financially and ideologically, we work together closely with a parent-founded and run association of the International Kindergarten MULTI LINGUA zur mehrsprachigen Erziehung und Bildung e.V. to enable an authentic multilingual learning environment for the children.
